The construction of an earthen dam for the needs of agriculture of Andreevsky district, Belgorod region has been completed.

For the needs of agriculture and land reclamation in the Belgorod region completed the construction of an earthen dam.  The dam is partially washed, partially filled out of sandy and loamy soils, from the upstream side is protected from erosion by waves of reinforced concrete slabs, equipped with a drainage system that includes vertical and horizontal drainage, shaft-beam drainage, drainage ditch, pumping station. The length of the dam is 4000 m, the maximum height is 40 m.on the main section with a length of 3250 m, the dam has a width of 340 m at the base and a crest of 18 m. 28,004 million m3 of soil is poured into the dam. A category III road with a width of 12 m is laid along the crest of the dam.
